OUR TIER 1 ENERGY AUDIT
We offer two different tiers of energy audits to meet the needs of a wide variety of San Francisco homeowners. Tier 1 Energy Audits take about an hour to complete and include:
- Homeowner consultation
- Analysis of your historical energy use
- Visual inspection of your home, including your building shell and mechanical/ventilation systems
- Thermal imaging
- Summary report emailed to you as a pdf
OUR TIER 2 ENERGY AUDIT
Our second energy audit option is a comprehensive evaluation of your home and takes 3-6 hours to complete. It includes:
- Homeowner consultation
- Analysis of your historical energy use
- Detailed inspection of your home, including your building shell and mechanical/ventilation systems
- Blower door testing and infrared thermal imaging
- Map of your home for use in energy modeling and mechanical system sizing
- Combustion safety testing
- Comprehensive Home Performance Report emailed to you as a pdf
- Preliminary project proposal
- An hour-long audit review meeting via phone or video conference
- Fixed price proposal for any subsequent home upgrades you’re interested in pursuing
There are many different components to a home, and our Tier 2 Energy Audit leaves no stone unturned, examining and testing your home’s outer shell, including windows, doors, insulation levels, and the level of air leakage in between building materials; space conditioning and water heating equipment; and the movement of air within the home to ensure that the air you and your family are breathing is fresh, healthy and safe.
Regardless of which tier energy audit you choose, we will credit 50% of the cost back to you if you move forward with any of the services or home upgrades we ultimately recommend.
